Hola Amigos!!

We are in Colombia safe and sound. We are staying at a Hotel for a couple of days and than we will get to stay at the El Refugio. Possibly on Monday when we meet our boys. The B&B was full. The weather is beautiful mid 60's for today. Our room is like a mini apartment with kitchen directly across our bed. We look forward to meeting our boys soon!!

Our boys

Here is the skinny on our boys.......

Miguel is 11 yrs old & is in 4th grade

David (pronounced as "Da -veed") is 9 yrs old & in 3rd grade

Sergio (pronounced as "Ser-he-o") is 5 yrs old & in kindergarten

We will meet our boys on Monday, February 9th and from that point on they will get to stay with us. While we are in Colombia we will celebrate Sergio's 6th birthday together as a family. During our stay we will live at the El Refugio Bed & Breakfast. We hear it is a beautiful place and the staff are exceptional. All our meals will be provided except on Sundays so we can spend more time bonding and concentrating on our family.

2 to go

Hey everybody we are at the 2 days to go mark.......
There has been a laundry explosion at our house! One must be careful where they trod for they might land somewhere they had not planned. The suitcases are scattered around & ready to be packed. Everything that is to go is on the couch or so it seems.

Thanks to my cheerleaders ~ Melissa & Angie ~ great enthusiam girls!!! I have enjoyed the calls for it has helped keep me on track & motivated.

Busy Bee

This week has flown by so far and it is only Tuesday!!

Monday was shop till you drop ~
Many thanks and kudos to Amy (my sis in law) who is an incredible shopper & bargain hunter!!
She has the ability to laugh along with me when the check out person gives you crazy looks for having a cart full of items to outfit a small army!!! We blazed a trail through Lincoln with a dwindling list and a van filled to the brim.

Tuesday was packed from morning to night with phone calls, errands, follow up dr appts. and of course more shopping! Only this time Brad is the lucky one with new dress shoes and tennies. Nothing like breaking in new shoes on a long trip....

As for tomorrow it should be filled with phone calls, errands and have you guessed the pattern here....more shopping!! The good news is that my list is getting smaller & I'm almost done so the next phase can begin....laundry and packing.

Countdown to departure.....

It is hard to believe in 6 days we will be flying out on a jet plane!! Are you as excited as we are? This has been an incredible journey that's for sure. Each day Mia has asked if today is "the day" that we get to pack our suitcase to go see her brothers?

This past week, we received our instructions on attire for the trip. We are not to wear jeans unless it is on the weekend or if we are at our bed & breakfast. Women do not wear jeans unless it is on the weekends instead they wear skirts, slacks or dresses. Men wear dress slacks when they go out as well. Bummer.....we were hoping to be more casual than this!

Since we will have access to laundry services every 3 to 4 days we plan to travel light.

Hello Again

It seems like it has been forever since the last post! Sorry, we have been under the weather at our house. Hopefully we will be on the mend soon.
